Our story
Weather Navigation was born from a simple frustration: drivers deserve to know what the sky and the road ahead have in store, without taking their eyes off the wheel. Built by BYSS Mobile, a mobile software studio based in Szczecin, Poland, the app grew out of years spent crafting connected-car and navigation experiences. We set out to combine live weather radar with real-time road conditions and deliver it all through the interfaces drivers already trust — Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
What started as an experiment quickly became a mission. Today Weather Navigation helps drivers across the United States plan safer journeys along interstates and state highways, turning complex meteorological data into clear, glanceable guidance for the moments that matter most on the road.
Our team
We are a small, focused group of mobile engineers, designers, and weather enthusiasts at BYSS Mobile. Every member of the team shares a belief that great software should feel effortless — especially when you are behind the wheel. Our engineers build for reliability in low-signal, high-speed environments; our designers obsess over readability at a glance; and together we sweat the details so that drivers can simply drive.
Where our data comes from
Accurate, trustworthy information is the foundation of everything we do. Weather Navigation draws on leading meteorological and road-condition sources, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for authoritative U.S. weather data and radar, along with commercial providers such as Foreca and Xweather for forecasts, alerts, and high-resolution radar imagery. We combine these feeds with official 511 road condition data to give you a complete picture of the weather and the road ahead.
