Snow Emergency Levels in Clark County

Ohio law puts the declaration in the hands of each county sheriff, who may declare a snow emergency and temporarily close the state roads and municipal streets in the county when that is reasonably necessary to preserve the public peace. A level declared for Clark County applies to that county and stops at its line — the county next door can be at a different level, or at none. ORC § 311.07 and § 311.08

Roadways are extremely hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those persons who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways.

Level 3

All roadways are closed to non emergency traffic. No one should be out driving during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel.
